Despite what the temperatures say, it is fall (and where I live, the temperatures say: HOT and SUMMER still). Fall to me is wearing boots and scarves, drinking hot beverages, watching scary movies in anticipation of Halloween, and eating foods that clear at least 1000 calories per bite. In honor of the hottest fall ever, I decided to make a drink I saw on Buzzfeed recently: the Pumpkin Pie Martini. Essentially, it’s pumpkin pie in a glass with alcohol (as implied by the word martini), and it’s the before-, during- and after-Thanksgiving dinner drink you need while spending all that time with your family. Beware: This drink doesn’t clear 1000 calories, but close. It’s about 375 calories per serving; more if you toss a dollop of whipped cream on the top (which I didn’t do but you should totally try).
