I confess, I may be a bit of a shopaholic. Okay, I am a shopaholic. There, I said it. I used to be a bad shopaholic (as in the kind that charges things she can’t afford); thankfully, I’m not anymore.
I now have just one credit card with a balance, and I’m working on paying it off. If I can’t afford to buy something with cash/checking, I can’t buy it. That’s just the way it goes. I finally learned delayed gratification about 4 years ago. (Thank goodness!)
Don’t get me wrong, I still see things that I drool over, but now I put them on a list of things I’d like to have, and if I still want them after payday comes and all of my financial responsibilities have been met, I buy an item or two.
My current list includes four items I am super excited about, one of which went on sale this week! Hooray! (I love when that happens after I’ve waited patiently to make a purchase, don’t you?)
Anyway, I thought it might be fun to share our wishlists with one another — come on, join me fellow shopaholic list-makers!
Here’s my list:
1. A classic wardrobe staple I’ve always wanted to own, but never have: a leather jacket (this one is simulated leather, fyi)

This jacket is so incredibly flattering on (the sleeves don’t actually puff up much when it’s on, at least they didn’t on me when I tried it on in the store) and makes me feel far more stylish than I typically do. It is part of the Xhiliration line from Target, so we’re talking juniors sizes, so be prepared to order up a size if you too fall in love with this jacket. In most women’s stores, I wear small or medium tops, but this jacket fit me best in a size large. It comes in 5 colors and is on sale for $35 until Sunday, September 23. (Please don’t buy them all though, I don’t get paid until Friday! Leave me one, k?)
2. Tall boots!!! (Another fall wardrobe staple that I’ve never owned)
I’ve had a hard time finding a pair of boots that I thought would really work for me. Zip boots are sometimes too snug for my calves (which is a major bummer, because though there are parts of me I definitely would consider a little chubby, my calves weren’t really one of ‘em, boo!) and I’ve had a hard time finding a not-too-high or not-too-low/flat heel that was also comfortable. But, I think I may have found the pair for me… they adjust at the top with a buckle and have just a little wedge heel… meet my friends, the Kieran boots (also from Target and just $35!). They’re only available online, but, if you have a Target Red Card (credit OR check card) they ship free!

3. Baked eye shadows from Sephora. Darn you Sephora for always having something new and pretty to offer in the way of eyeshadow — my biggest weakest when it comes to cosmetic purchases, dang it! I love eyeshadow, because slight nuances in shades can make such an impact on the eye area and can be oh so flattering. I love having lots of choices when it comes to eye makeup, and these two palettes are just gorgeous in person (I may have played a bit with testers).
The first palette is the Izak limited edition palette, so if you like it, get one soon! The second is going to be around a bit longer, and can be purchased in store or online here. Both palettes run $30.

Your turn! What’s on your wishlist?

A bottle of Biolage Exquisiteoil, Urban Decay Smoked palette and a whole new fall wardrobe, specifically some new sweaters, flats and yes, I also want a (fake) leather jacket. But those are all pipe dreams at this point. Hope you get your stuff, good choices!
