Thanks to some lovely friends, I got to take a post birthday shopping trip to one of my favorite places over the weekend — Ulta. I was shopping with my 5-year-old in tow, so I knew my browsing time was limited. It felt even more limited after said 5-year-old dug into the brightest, most densely pigmented lavender eyeshadow in the store and smeared it onto his eyebrow area while I turned to look at something for .000045 seconds. Make-up shopping with little boys is less than ideal.

Given my limited perusing time, I figured I was best off heading towards brands I knew I could count on for quality, so I made a beeline to Urban Decay, Bare Minerals and Lorac. While in the Lorac section, I came across an amazing eyeshadow palette called the Lorac Pro Palette that seemed to contain just about any color a girl could need.

I’ve purchased Lorac shadows before and I’ve found them to be extremely well made. They are silky smooth, almost creamy (but not a cream) and super pigmented. The Pro Palette also came with a mini shadow primer, which I’d never tried before. Before my son could decorate his other eyebrow I whisked the box to the register an surrendered my gift card.

Gift card WELL spent my friends. WELL SPENT.

I LOVE this palette! So many color combination options! Silky, rich colors and perfect highlighting shades! Not a single color I wouldn’t want to wear either, which is a huge plus.

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop for shadow, I definitely recommend checking out Lorac’s Pro Palette ($42 for 16 super high quality shadows and a primer – actual value $112) available at Ulta or Sephora.
