• Celeb-u-spawn Scout Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, was arrested in New York City yesterday at the decidedly unsexy time of 6:30 p.m. The middle Willis daughter, who is 20, was busted for criminal impersonation (fake I.D.) and a violation of the open-container law (drinking in public). It’s easy to write this off as the entitled, reckless behavior of celebrity offspring, so I will. At least she wasn’t driving. [People]
• Mary-Kate Olsen has dyed her hair brown, so now instead of being “that one Olsen twin,” she’s “that one Olsen twin with brown hair.” [People]
• Stephen Baldwin (the crazy, religious Baldwin brother) is suing Kevin Costner for something so boring I’ve already forgotten what. Something about robots? [TMZ]
• Here’s a bizarre story: Penny Marshall (Laverne of Laverne & Shirley for you young ‘uns) has contacted the LAPD after she was duped into giving someone claiming to be the assistant of former L.A. Laker Lamar Odom (Lamar of Khloé and Lamar for you young ‘uns) asked her for money. A man claiming to be Odom’s assistant approached Marshall and gave her what she thought was Odom’s phone number. He then texted her, asking for over $5000, which she … uh … gave him. The worst part is, Cindy Williams really could have used that 5K. [TMZ]
• Proving that her homage to Elizabeth Taylor is nothing but class, Lindsay Lohan slipped a nip while filming yesterday. It’s what Liz would have wanted. [TMZ]
• Queen Latifah is not gay. Or, maybe she is. Either way, it’s none of our damn business. [OMG]
• Margaret Cho is gay, straight, bi and everything in-between, and she desperately wants to make it our business. [L.A. Times]
• Best wishes to Sheryl Crow, who has a benign brain tumor. [Just Jared]
• Jodie Foster thinks Kristen Stewart is amazing. But she said that about Mel Gibson, too, so … [MTV]
• Blind item: “This actress used to be on the cusp of A list. It was right there for the taking. Then she lost it and it all happened because of a part. A part that she thought would take her from sexy to Academy Award. Our actress never had a problem working. She always worked. She just wanted to be taken seriously. She felt like after a few years of lead roles that all directors and producers wanted her for was her body. She had been on enough casting couches to start a furniture store and the only thing that kept getting her those roles was her willingness to be on the couch. She knew as she started to get older there would be younger and more attractive actresses that would also be willing to roll on the couch so she wanted more. She finally figured out how to get off the couch. Get a role so good that people would take her seriously. She was going all in on the role and decided to go method. Really method. When she was cast she started doing everything her character would do. She lived that life for months before filming. Sex, drugs and practicing what would be the clincher in the movie. She was ready. She was her character. She nailed it. She did exactly what she set out to do and received lots of praise and awards. Nothing big, but she had been noticed.

I liked Stephen Baldwin in “Young Guns”
