My husband’s lampshade has been in a horrible state for at least a year. Of course, this should have been expected, considering the lamp is well over 10 years old. Over the course of those 10 years, many, many things have happened. First, well, duh — I bought the lamp. Second, the lamp fell into a horrible state of disrepair. Third, last year, my father-in-law gave us several huge boxes of old photography slides that were taken by my hub’s great aunt.  And fourth, I saw this on Pinterest. Yes, an amazing lamp on Etsy, whose shade was made out of old slides, selling for $225. WHAAAAAA??

Being the crafty-crafterson that I am, I got out my brad-sized hole punch, my jump rings (yes, I actually had these things on hand), the slides

and got down to the lampshade-making business.

And now I will share with you the method of my madness and my amazing creation.
