This past Saturday night I attended the Fresno Art Museum’s famed fashion event, “Trashique.” For the uninitiated, this a glamorous, high-end fashion show with a twist: All of the designs that came down the runway were thought-provoking, stunning, and all made of upcycled and recycled trash.

The theme of the showcase was fashion created in the style of and inspired by the works of world-renowned artists — but the challenge to the artists was they could use only discarded and recycled objects to create their designs.

There was so much to see and experience at the event that we’ve created several galleries for your enjoyment. Please select a link below.
