We already know that music is a universal language, but watch as the point is driven home by Tara, a 13-year old girl from Iran.

 

It’s hard to imagine a place where teen girls aren’t able to sing along to their favorite songs, but Iran is such a place — female vocalists are banned in the country, so Tara is expressing herself with more than just her great voice, and we salute her for it.
